Maxime Besnard alias Mime is a French artist living in Paris.

After studying digital and the art market in design and contemporary art, he decided, as an autodidact, to take up collage, a practice that has gradually become his obsession.

 

Mime draws its resources from its travels and the second-hand bookstores visited.

He leafed through, source, china, cut, cut, hide, glue bustiers and faces from all times, all times.

His work reflects his mood or the significant experiences of his life.

His main inspirations: Egyptian and ancient aesthetics, architecture before and today and his contemporary human experiences.

 

The subjects of his collages are taken from second-hand books. There is currently no computer intervention on his works.
